In 2016, Heimo Zobernig was commissioned by the Luma Foundation to create a new café for the Luma Westbau in the Löwenbräu arts complex in Zurich. Zobernig’s schwarzescafé is a multi-functional, architectural intervention, which is used for hospitality, movie screenings, and lectures, as a display space for exhibitions, and as a reading room hosting Kunsthalle Zürich’s library. This publication documents Zobernig’s work, the interventions by artists using his display, and the group exhibition “Home”, which presented modes of representation of interior space.
